Introduction

I grew up in a Christian legalistic cult. Even though I thought I was serving Jesus, I was trying to save myself by keeping a whole list of do’s and don’ts, many being man-made rules.

In our church they preached so called perfection. I could never measure up. I suffered of depression for many years. Then by God’s grace, I realised that I had been deceived by a false Chritianity. God revealed to me the true Gospel of salvation by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ has done everything necessary for our salvation. I accepted the free gift of salvation.

Even though we sang songs in the church where I grew up, we never had praise and worship. Now that I know the truth I yearn to praise and worship. What an amazing God and saviour.

I also long to help others caught up in legalistic man-made and sometimes even demonic religion to truly know God and to put their faith fully in the completed work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Living by law only results in failure and depression. Living by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ results in victory, joy and peace.
