God’s Heart

Meditating on God’s Heart …

God’s desire is to show mercy, to forgive and to save. God’s desire was to show mercy even to the people of Nineveh, whose wickedness had come before him. Jonah knew that God’s desire was to show them mercy. That is why he fled when God send him to Nineveh. He thought they deserved to perish and wanted them to.

My dear friend, God’s desire is to forgive and to save you too. No matter how much you have sinned. Even if you feel that you are too sinful and that there is no hope for you. Even if Christians or preachers (like Jonah) have thrown you away or written you off.

God so loves you despite your sin, that the Lord Jesus gave His life for you and died for your sins on the cross, so that you can receive forgiveness and salvation.

If you have not been saved yet, oh please will you repent and call out to God like the people of Nineveh did. He will be gracious to you too. He so desires to save you. Oh please will you allow Him to save you. He will receive you for Christ’s sake, no matter how unworthy you think you are; if only you will come to Him.

Maybe you think you are too deep into sin and can not get out. Just surrender your life to Him. He is the one that will save you and change you. Please just give Him a chance. If you surrender to Him, you will bring joy to His heart. He loves you so much…

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 NIV

And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved; Joel 2:32
