There is most probably nothing that causes as much heartache and emotional pain as loving someone with all your heart, who totally ignores and refuses your love. In the old testament we read about the prophet Hosea. God wanted him to feel some of the pain that God feels as a result of people rejecting … Continue reading The Heartbreak of Rejected Love
These are some of the hymns that touch my heart. Some of them have been an encouragement to me during very difficult times. He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater - Annie Johnson Flint (1866-1932) 1) He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater, He sendeth more strength when the labors increase, To added affliction He addeth His mercy, To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace... Peter and Judas are two of the Lord Jesus' disciples who stand out at the time of the Lord Jesus' crucifixion (Mark 14). Both are included in the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus. Both sin against our Lord. Peter denies Jesus. Judas betrays Jesus. Peter obtains mercy and ends up dying for our Lord. Judas on the other hand does not obtain mercy and ends up committing suicide. What are the differences between these two disciples that their ends are so different? To view the full post please click on this post's tiltle above.
These Bible verses have been an blessing to me and have encouraged me. I trust they will be an encouragement and blessing to you too... The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. If God is a God of love, why is there so much suffering in this world? This question is asked so often. I have been meditating on this for several years. What follows is my understanding of it. God is love. Love desires people to bestow one's love upon. God created people in order to live in a loving relationship with them... To view the full post please click on this post's tiltle above.
Luke 7:39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner." To me this is one of the saddest verses in the Bible. Here the saviour had come to visit Simon the Pharisee. This was the same Savior who had visited Zacchaeus and Matthew, the tax collectors, at their homes. (Remember how Zacchaeus had stood up and confessed his sin, after which the Lord Jesus said: “Today salvation has come to this house”.) To view the full post please click on this post's tiltle above.

Meditating on God's Heart ... God's desire is to show mercy, to forgive and to save. God's desire was to show mercy even to the people of Nineveh, whose wickedness had come before him. Jonah knew that God's desire was to show them mercy. That is why he fled when God send him to Nineveh. He thought they deserved to perish. My dear friend, God's desire is to forgive and to save you too. No matter how much you have sinned. Even if you feel that you are too sinful and that there is no hope for you. Even if Christians or preachers (like Jonah) have thrown you away or written you off... To view the full post please click on this post's tiltle above.
Meditating on God's love.... How marvellous and wonderful is our God! Our knowledge and understanding of God is so limited. There is however enough said about God in His word to overwhelm us with awe for a God who far exceeds what we could ever imagine or desire. God has many beautiful and glorious attributes. One of His attributes is love. In fact the Bible does not only say that God loves, but that He is love. His love far exceeds human love...
